Yi Feng Bistro is newer to this space in the Village Vons shopping center, having replaced a similar Asian restaurant that was in this location previously. We were surprised to find the place we were used to gone, but decided to give Yi Feng a try, and we were quite glad we did!! Very pleasantly surprised!! All new owners, new front of house and kitchen staff! Quick seating, and notably busier than the former place used to be on a Sat. evening, and it was still pretty early. Friendly staff and easy to communicate. We decided to try a variety of dishes to share. We were pleased to find some old standbys, and very much enjoyed the dumpling offerings, which Yi Feng seems to specialize in. We were, however, a bit disappointed to find no flexibility with some of the menu items, for requests that were quite common to Asian fare. We started with the vegetarian egg flower soup. Despite being a staple, with plenty of egg in it, it was disappointing, as it was incredibly oily. Good flavor, but not even enjoyable enough to take the majority of the very large family-sized bowl home. We actually would've preferred one of the many won ton soups, but they all have pork, and one of our group didn't eat pork, so we had to skip all of those options, unfortunately (this became an unfortunate theme). We ordered the pan fried chicken dumplings. Mostly steamed, and lightly fried - in a word - excellent!! Amazing texture and flavor!! Again, the only disappointment is there were other varieties of dumplings we'd have liked to try, but every version had pork with whatever else was in them. But we did enjoy the chicken very much! We ordered the honey walnut shrimp (walnuts on the side). Again - excellent, and not too much breading like so many places use - a subtle, creamy honey sauce, and light, crispy breading - SO good!! The shrimp fried rice was quite good, with plentiful shrimp! We'd normally order a combo fried rice (beef, chicken, shrimp), but they didn't even offer any combo, nor would they make it, even with an offered up-charge. But it was still good. The most disappointing dish was the "steamed" broccoli, which should've been called "garlic broccoli." It had SO much heavy garlic sauce on it, it was not edible, and we actually like garlic. They did not offer to replace it with plain steamed, but said we could order it that way in the future. They also did not offer to remove it from the bill (it was not advertised as garlic). Not great customer service on this one point, but the rest of the meal was definitely good enough to have us come back again. Very good food - too many (like 80%+) of the options include pork that can't be made without, but what we had for the most part was quite tasty, and we'll definitely be back, but avoiding certain dishes, and looking forward to trying new ones.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A New Favorite! YiFeng Bistro is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere — it’s modern, stylish, and still cozy enough to feel like a local favorite in the making. The food? 10/10. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully plated, and clearly made with care. You can tell the kitchen puts real passion into what they’re serving. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu! They were definitely more crowded than they anticipated, but despite the rush, the staff remained kind, attentive, and apologetic — even though we thought the service was still very good. They clearly care about their guests having a great experience, and it shows. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at YiFeng Bistro. You won’t regret it. A must-visit spot that’s already earned a top spot on my go-to list!

YiFeng Bistro delivers excellent, authentic Chinese and Taiwanese dishes with fast and friendly service. The xiao long bao were standout—perfectly steamed with rich broth and tender pork. The beef rolls had crispy scallion pancake wrapping flavorful beef and fresh veggies, making them a must-try. The spicy wontons were silky and packed with bold, balanced heat. We also enjoyed the crisp, garlicky sautéed string beans and refreshing pickled cucumbers, which complemented the heavier dishes nicely. The milk tea was smooth and not overly sweet, pairing well with the savory flavors. Overall, everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. A fantastic spot worth returning to. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is new in the area so they currently offer 20% discount until end of July. I came here during lunch time today with 3 of my friends so we ordered a lot of food and the service is quick. We ordered Cucumber Salad, Beef roll, Xiao Long Bao, Beef noodle soup, String Bean with Garlic, Popcorn chicken, Spicy pork wonton, Fried tofu and Chicken fried rice cake. They are delightful and flavorful and prices are reasonable and decent as well. The portion is big as good to share if you come with a big group. I was impressed by the interior; the ambiance is cozy and restaurant look very new and clean. Customer service is great and friendly and afood are excellent. Highly recommended if you live in the area, definitely need to check it out. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 5/5. This will be my spot to go in my list.

Finally visited the restaurant after a few months of them opening. Came & met my twin for lunch w her hubby. What we ordered ~ Hot & Sour Soup was good. Traditional H & S soup flavor. Good & recommended ~ Spicy Shrimp & Pork Wonton(8) is good. Just a little on the sweeter side after taste , the wonton is filled fully. ~ Fish Filiet w Black Bean Sauce is yummy. Taste was on point, the gravy was good, thick & highly recommended. ~ Beef fried rice was good. Had a yummy egg taste to it with the tender meat. Filled with lots of beef. One of the best fried rice I’ve had. The food was delicious indeed. They serve authentic Chinese food. Simple modern Chinese food restaurant. Very clean and lots of table seating available. Server was attentive and received our items in a timely manner. Will definitely return and take advantage of the 16% off. Located in the Eastlake Village plaza. Next to Massage Envy & CVS. Lots of parking available. TIP~ they are currently running a 15% off Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

There are great dishes and fair dishes. Not necessarily 5/5, but 4.5/5. Great dishes: All the spicy dishes are spot-on, even for those who hates spicy food. Kung Pao chicken and spicy wonton had such wonderful aroma. Wonton were surprisingly juicy, even jucier than Xiao long Bao. Fair dishes: Beef fried noodles: their pan fried items are definitely their strengths, but this one is too sweet. Xiao long Bao: kinda ugly looking, but they actually have very thin skin and taste great, with lots of juice! Very comfortable seating and nice services. Will be back to try out their chilli pot next time!
